Samsung Ghana supports four orphanages

Samsung Ghana, on Tuesday donated products worth 15,000 Ghana cedis to four orphanage homes in Accra. The orphanages are Teshie Orphanage, Beacon House Orphanage, Osu Children�s Home and Royal Seed Orphanage from Kasoa. Presenting the items Mr Richard Nunekpeku, Marketing Manager for Consumer Electronics, Samsung Ghana, said the donation was in line with the Company�s commitment to improving the lives of people in communities in which they operate. �We fervently look for opportunities where we can make an impact, we are happy to be making a difference in the lives of these children at the orphanages. Our success as a brand is not how much money we make but how many lives we have touched� he said. Teshie Orphanage received a microwave and a washing machine, Beacon House, a refrigerator, Royal Seed Home, refrigerator and washing machine and Osu Children�s Home received a washing machine and a microwave. The donation is an extension of the just ended Samsung Chelsea Youth Football Camp, a corporate social responsibility initiative by the company which brought together 190 children between the ages of 8 and 13 across the country. Fifty-four of the participating children were selected from the four orphanages and were trained by UK coaches from Chelsea Foundation.
