E.T. Mensah & GWCL Boss Should Stop The Radio Debate And Tell Ghanaians The Truth

The managing editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, has called on former minister for Water and Housing, Hon. E.T. Mensah and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Water Company Limited, Mr. Kweku Botwe to cease throwing heated words at each other on the airwaves as if it was the appropriate quarters to resolve their in-differences. A report by a committee set up by Hon. E.T. Mensah, indicted Mr. Botwe of creating a system at Amasaman by name Messrs K. Adu Construction and Plumbing Works Limited and callously billing consumers three times the price the Public Utility Regulatory Commission mandates. Hon. E.T. Mensah has personally blamed Mr. Botwe of defending his incompetence with unprofessional lies. Though Mr. Botwe has come out to deny the committees report, he has stated on countless ocassions that his move to prevent Hon. E.T. Mensah from dipping his hands into the nations coffers, ignited the banter between him and the former minister for Water and Housing. However, Kweku Baako has voiced his opinion on the matter and made it clear that since the issues keep taking a new dimension every time the individuals involved are interviewed on the airwaves, it would be appropriate for an independent institution to launch a fresh investigation into the matter. He explained that he had listened to Hon. E.T. Mensahs view on air and finds it intriguing that his deputy, Ms. Hannah Bissiw, gives a different account when she is called to speak on the matter. Speaking on Joy FMs News File programme, the managing editor for the New Crusading Guide, appealed to the Committee for Human Right and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to launch an investigation into the matter and unravel the truth in it. A brand new investigation is required. It is not good enough to have a former minister and the Chief Executive Officer of water having a battle on radio...we shouldn't allow this to be only a radio debate. At this level, the kind of sector we are talking about, radio debate isn't a prescription, he advised.
