The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Party (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has described his fellow General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a comedian cursed by �Antoa�, since he do not behave as a General Secretary of a political party. Dr. Bawumia sustained minor injuries when the car he was travelling in somersaulted several times on the Bole road on Sunday. The back tyres of his vehicle reportedly got burst which led to the car somersaulting. But the General Secretary of the NPP, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has accused members of the NDC, pointing at President Mahama for master minding the accident. �If you really want a comedian to entertain Ghanaians, just call Sir John to do that, he is just a funny person and good at that, rather than being a General Secretary of a political party,� Asiedu Nketia told Asempa FM in an interview on Monday. According to Asiedu Nketia, it�s beyond his imagination why the NPP must have such thoughts about the NDC anytime there is turmoil in the NPP party. �What do they (the NPP) think they have done to the NDC for us to plot such thing against them? I don�t believe in those things� It is their (NPP) believe so they (the NPP) should consult Antoa and ask of what is wrong with their party. Sir John is always dragging the NPP party back,� he said. Fire branded General �Mosquito� expressed worried for NPP choosing Sir John as their general secretary and called on the party hierarchy with immediate effect suspend Sir John for his incompetency as a General Secretary. �If the NPP I knew some years back is the same NPP today, Sir John would have been fired to end the disgrace he is raining on the party. How many NPP members would come out boldly to support Sir John�s comedy as their General Secretary?...Most of them are ashamed but shy to voice out. There is no sense in his (Sir John) allegation. How can an intellectual lawyer make such comments? he asked. �Is an ambulance only used to carry corpse as Sir John is claiming? It�s only Sir John�s hometown where they use ambulance to convey corpse instead of hearse, if a villager will mistakenly call an ambulance a hearse, why should an educated fellow like Sir John who is also a lawyer and a General Secretary refer to an ambulance as a hearse?. Tell Sir John a hearse is used for corpse while ambulance is for the sick?� he said. �Bawumia is not a true NPP member but he was only drafted into the NPP fraternity in the 2008 elections,� adding; �there are people in the party who are not happy with the frontline role given to Bawumia and may be behind the plot to assassinate him,� he alleged.
