North Korea Threatens To Attack US Planes

NORTH Korea has threatened to attack US planes if they take part in a training exercise in the neighbouring South. American B52 bombers yesterday flew in a drill called Foal Eagle to show its alliance to South Korea. But warmongering military chiefs in the North have threatened to attack the jets and called the flights an "unpardonable provocation". The warning from a Foreign Ministry spokesman was carried by the hermit country's official news agency. It said: "We are keeping close tabs on the activity of the B-52 strategic bomber."It added that if the planes continued to fly in the area: "The hostile forces will never escape its strong military counter-action." The country, led by tubby dictator Kim Jong-un, has hit out at the US/South Korea military drills calling them a "rehearsal for invasion." Tensions between the countries have increased in recent weeks after the North carried out a third nuclear test. The powerful blast was condemned across the globe and the country was hit with new sanctions. It led to Kim Jong-un tearing up a long-standing peace agreement with South Korea and telling troops to prepare for "all out war."
