Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo Advises Young Ministers: Be Humble And Work Hard

Former Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has advised newly appointed young Ministers in the Mahama-led administration to be humble, hardworking and avail themselves to learn from the experienced ones. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo who has not been appointed by Prez John Mahama for any ministerial position is very optimistic the newly young ministers will live up to expectation. We must give the President a free time to operatehe (the president) knows what he is doing. We are all praying for him. I am not worried that I have not been penciled for any ministerial post, I know if my time comes, he will appoint me, he said. I am happy that His Excellency is blending the youth who have committed themselves to the party(NDC) and given the opportunity to them. This was started by late Prof. Mills, he (Mills) had one of the youngest cabinets in the whole of Africa and thanks to God, President Mahama is also emulating him, he said. Speaking on Asempa FM Thursday, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo believes these young ministers will duly work in the interest of Ghana to keep the Better Ghana Agenda on it course. My only prayer is that, these young ministers will be humble and learn the job, they shouldnt be disrespectful, and they should rather be humble. If they (the young ministers) humble themselves, they will grow into the job and Ghana will be proud of them. I was also young when appointed as a minister. I believe giving the opportunity to the young ones they can deliver but my only admonishing is for them to be humble especially the deputy ministers, he advised.
