Justice Kpegahs Claim Intent to Twist the Supreme Court Case

The Director of Communication for the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Henry Asante has indicated that the claim made by the former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Kpegah that Nana Akufo-Addo is impersonating the name William Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is a mischief intended to twist the challenge of the 2012 Presidential Results at the Supreme Court. Speaking on Okay FMs Ghana Decides program, the executive member of the Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG) added that there is a deliberate attempt to disrupt the substantive issue in the Supreme Court; stressing that Justice Kpegah should not mud the waters but allow the Supreme Court to deal with the substantive issue which will either legitimize the President to continue his work or will pave way for a new President to start his work. Dealing with the claim by the retired judge, Henry Asante said that; instead of talking about the national issues which bother on development and betterment of Ghanaians now, naming has become the order of the day. He hinted that since 2008 as Nana Akufo-Addo stood on the ticket of NPP as a Flag bearer, some people have gone to any extent to rubbish his name; as they have tried to disgrace and tarnish his image and even discredit him in the public. He advised that as a nation we should stop these things and focus on things which will develop the country, adding that; we are doing politics and if we give leaders the accorded respect and dignity, we will receive the same. Henry Haruna Asante however wondered what Nana Akufo-Addo has done to warrant such treatment from some section of Ghanaians, as they call him a womanizer and a drug addict; in that all these name callings have not been authenticated but people still peddle this falsehood around him (Nana Akufo Addo).
