The general secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwadjo Owusu Afriyie is just an embodiment of political comedian who must not be taken serious in our political discourse.
Apart from his deficiency as a poor communicator, he has gradually graduated from being an incompetent politician to a political comedian. What surprises me most is the fact that the NPP substituted a well-knowledgeable and a vibrant speaker like Nana Ohene Ntow in place for Sir John. I am sure by now; the NPP may be cursing the stars for electing Sir John as their chief scribe.
The inconsistencies of Sir John are gradually becoming consistent. What is more worrying however is the fact that he is a lawyer. What a disgrace to the legal fraternity! The NPPs 2012 election �wahala� all started with Sir John. In fact, I can say confidently that, the NPP lost the 2012 presidential elections because of people like Sir John due to his poor communication skills.
Apart from whipping the appetite of his supporters that they had won the elections when ideally people were still in queue to cast their votes alone is a serious indictment on his reputation as a lawyer. I strongly believe sir John only jumps to the media to say anything that comes to his mind just to create public notice that he is still into politics.
The latest frivolous, malicious and capricious accusations that he had labeled against the NDC and the president of Ghana is quiet shocking. What business has the NDC or president Mahama got to do with Dr. Bawumia�s life? Is Dr. Bawumia the only person to have involved in a car accident in this country? Or when former president Kufour had a car accident in 2007, was it the NDC that caused it? Or will the Supreme Court election adjudication stops when Dr. Bawumia is no more? This is ludicrous accusations Mr. Afriyie!
How can you get hold of a thief stealing your property and take it back and goes to the police station with the stolen item in your hand that it was stolen by someone?
I am completely disappointed that Mr. Afriyie has also described Ghana police service as NDC police and yet the police service doesn�t see it as an affront to their image. The same �NDC police� that the young patriot, let my vote count alliance, AFAG and other NPP surrogates were chasing for them to grant them public order and protection for their meaningless demonstrations?
For me, I think Dr. Bawumia must speak publicly as to whether he shares in the same views of Sir John and his party members that the NDC was behind his car accident. Sir John doesn�t even know that you can buy a car today and crashed with it? What kind of rationalization is this!! The fact that we are opposing political parties does not mean we should politicize everything. This is not political but selfish and self-seeking egoistic interest aggregation of an individual. I think sir John just wanted to divert government�s attention from the teachers strike and continue to criticize the president for doing nothing about the situation.
I will humbly advise Sir John to go back to school to learn the differences between social and political issues. His posture and utterances are just a disgrace to the NPP.
