Kwesi Pratt Threatened With Poisoning!

The Managing Editor for the Insight Newspaper, Mr. Pratt has reportedly started receiving death threats from unknown members of the National Democratic Congress. On Wednesday after his encounter with the media to deliver his own version of the true state of the nation address, he received a call from an unknown male voice threatening to get rid of him if he continues to attack the government. Gone are the days when you are sent to jail to serve a sentence. This time round, it is either we poison your water or plot a car accident for you, the caller threatened. Mr. Pratt has however refused to report the matter to the police for reasons best known to him. Earlier Mr. Kwesi Pratt Jr. has told the gathering of journalists that looking at the current situation facing the country, he feels saddened by the kind of approach the President, John Dramani Mahama is using to deal with the matters at hand. Mr. Pratt who has been an ardent supporter of the actions of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is of the view that the President is not being pragmatic enough with the situation facing the people of Ghana. The current electricity and water problems are not being given much attention by the government, according to Mr. Pratt. I think the people of Ghana must demonstrate against the payment of electricity bills unless we are given better services. The people of Ghana deserve better than what we are currently having, Mr. Pratt proposed. In a speech delivered at the Freedom Center on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 Mr. Pratt noted that the solving of the problems of Ghana is not in sending pastors to Israel to pray neither is it in the building of $10 Billion Hope City. There is no sense in building a Hope City when doctors here in Accra do not have accommodation and there are people still living in mud houses in Accra. You cant continue to build shopping malls when the people do not have money to shop. Our leaders have failed us and that is not good for our country, Mr. Pratt lamented. In his view, President Mahama has messed up in tackling the issues confronting the people of this nation. There is no need sending pastors to Israel to pray for the country because that is not what the ordinary Ghanaian is looking for. If the government wants to know what Ghanaians want it should go to the Mallam Atta Market and they would hear what really are the needs of the ordinary people on streets.
