How Nana Addo Marked Birthday

The 2012 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential candidate, Nana Ado Danquah Akuffo turned 69 on Thursday. As part of activities lined up for his birthday celebration, Nana Addo�s family and friends showed love to the children of the Teshie Orphanage in Accra. Friends of Nana Akuffo Addo donated a large quantity of assorted foods, drinks, detergents, cooking oil, toiletries and Nana Akuffo Addo�s birthday cake to the Orphanage. Leader of the group, Fadi Dabboussi called on the wealthy to support the needy in society. He said Nana Akuffo Addo, worth of his sort as one of the freedom fighters for Ghana�s return to multi party democracy is worth celebrating, hence the donation. Member of Parliament for Okaikoi North, Hon. Elizabeth Sackey presented the items to the Proprietor of the Orphanage. She promised them of more of such gifts and prayed that Nana Addo�s wish to make life comfortable for the underprivileged will materialize. The orphans were fed on a good diet, drinks and Nana Addo�s special birthday cake. One of the Orphans, Ebenezer Owusu and Proprietor of the Teshie Orphanage, Mrs. Janet Anyeley Parker jointly thanked the Donors and congratulated Nana Addo on his 69th Birthday. Mrs. Parker said the children will forever remember Nana Addo for his good intentions for the nation and wished him long life. She said the orphanage needed enough funds for expansion and to cater for the children�s education. The Teshie Orphanage was established in 1995 by Mrs. Janet Parker and it currently accommodates 28 orphans all of whom in school.
