MASLOC Chief Executive Asked To Proceed On Leave

The Chief Executive of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Mrs Bertha Sogah, has been directed to proceed on leave to pave the way for investigations into allegations of conflict of interest made against her. Sources close to the Board of Directors of the Centre said that the Office of the President had directed the Board to ensure that Mrs Sogah proceeded on leave with immediate effect. It said the directive followed allegations of conflict of interest in the dealings of the Chief Executive with companies such as Amisgold Microfinance Service Limited, which is alleged to be owned by her husband.
