The La Dadekotopon Municipal Director of Education, Mrs Evelyn Owusu Oduro, has attributed the lack of reading by students as the major cause of poor performance in examinations. Mrs Oduro said reading is a prerequisite for one to become a good student. She called on students to limit the hours they spend in watching television and surfing the internet and cultivate the habit of reading to improve their knowledge. Mrs Oduro said this during a visit to some examination centres in the La Dadekotopon Municipality where SHS candidates were writing the WASSCE.
