Show Respect To Your Teachers- Kokofu

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, Mr Henry Kwabena Kokofu has admonished students to be committed to their studies and show respect to their teachers to motivate them to offer their best. He also urged them to reciprocate the huge investments being made in them by their parents and the government by doing away with social vices that could mar their academic progress. Mr Kokofu gave the advice when he toured the various second cycle institutions in his constituency to inspect ongoing projects and interact with staff and students. At the Kumasi Girls High School, the MP inspected an uncompleted assembly hall and an ICT centre and called on the government to ensure the early completion of the projects. He promised to use part of his share of GETFund to ensure that such projects were completed in time for the benefit of the students. Mr Kokofu commended the old girls association of the school, known as Ahemaa for constructing a sick bay and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for the construction of a three-storey classroom block for the school. Mr Kokofu also visited the S.D.A Senior High School and the Islamic Senior High School, all in the constituency. He appealed to the government to modernise and expand the Suntreso government Hospitals explaining that the strategic location of that health facility could offload some of the pressures on the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Mr Kokofu said he had already donated three wheel chairs to the hospital and called on non-governmental organisations to assist him to cater for some of the basic needs of health and educational institutions in the constituency. The MP said he adopted the D-5 Ward of KATH and stated that the facility had to be rehabilitated.
