The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has called on health facilities in the country to heighten their education on the fight against Malaria. Deputy Commissioner of CHRAJ, Joseph Whittal told Joy FM the fight against the spread of Malaria should be a collaborative effort by the health institutions to get the Ghanaian citizenry to adopt the appropriate preventive measures to rid themselves and the environment of the disease. He stated that the situation can only be curbed when it is seen as a human right. He was optimistic the disease can be defeated when the health institutions hold public education programmes and provide information on the usage of the anti-malaria medicines, so as to combat its spread to several parts of the nation. He said �if our public service institutions are able to put in place sufficient preventive measures coupled with public education and information on how malaria drugs should be used, bed nets and others, I want to believe that we will be able to defeat malaria.�
