Some outstanding Ghanaian and non-Ghanaian entrepreneurs have been nominated to receive honours at the third UT Ghana Entrepreneur Awards scheduled for this Saturday, May 4.
It is being organised by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, with UT Bank as the title sponsor.
The event, which will take place at the State Banquet Hall in Accra, has been endorsed by the Ministries of Trade and Industry and Finance and Economic Planning and the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).
statement copied to the Daily Graphic said the event was being supported by the Zoomlion Group, Anointed Electricals Engineering Services, Melcom Ghana, among others.
The awards will be on the theme �Celebrating Entrepreneurship, the engine of economic growth,� the statement added.
It said the Executive Chairman of the Zoomlion and Jospong Group of Companies, Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, would be the chairman with the Chief Executive Officer of the UT Bank, Mr Prince Kofi Amoabeng, as the Guest Speaker at the event.
The Minister of State at the Presidency in charge of Public Private Partnerships, Hon Rashid Pelpuo, will be the Special Guest of Honour, the statement added
It said the event aimed at recognising and rewarding the best entrepreneurs in the business community for their contribution to support economic growth and job creation.
The event will be graced by captains of the business community, government officials, and the diplomatic corps among others, according to the statement.
