NDC MP Questions: How Can Nana Addo Be President With The Few Votes He Had?

Member of Parliament on the ticket of the NDC for the Techiman South Constitutency in the Brong Ahafo Region, Hon. Mensah Adjei has deliberately rubbed salt into the wounds of the petitioners in the Supreme Court fighting the legitimacy of President Mahama by positing that they can continue wasting their time in court if they dont know elections are won at the polling centers. He noted that it was equally a mission impossible for the NPP to assume that Nana Akufo-Addo would be President of Ghana with the few votes he pulled during the elections. In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Hon. Mensah Adjei pointed out that it beats his uttermost imagination to learn that the petitioners want the court to annul votes that elevated President Mahama to pick up the post as president whilst they seek to protect theirs. He explained that when ones examines the petition carefully, he or she would get to know that all the areas the petitioners cited irregularities, happened to be the stronghold of the NDC. Hon. Mensah Adjei stated that the petitioners are yet to convince the court that the Electoral Commission connived with the NDC to rig the elections. They only want the court to annul votes that came in from strongholds of the NDC. They want votes from the Volta Region, Northern Region and Zongo areas at the Brong Ahafo Region to be cancelled for Nana Addo to be president, he clarified.
