Dwarfs bounce back to beat All Stars

Dwarfs brought back smiles to the faces of their fans with a 2-1 win over Wa All Stars in their Week 24 clash at the Robert Mensah Stadium on Sunday. After losing to Berekum Chelsea last week, Dwarfs could not afford yet another defeat and started the game strongly, only to be shocked by the visitors who broke the deadlock three minutes from kick-off through Paul Asare against the run of play. Asare after collecting a pass from the middle, weaved his way into the Dwarfs defence to fire home the opener. Undaunted by the early lead, Dwarfs made several efforts to equalize but had to wait till the 39th minute when Richard Gadzie scored from a goalmouth melee. After the equalizer, All Stars resorted to rough play and paid dearly for it when play-maker, Michael Mensah got red carded. Dwarfs grabbed a late winner through substitute Asiwome Fumador on 83 minutes.
