Gomoa West MP Challenges View On 2012 Election Petition Hearing

The MP for Gomoa West Hon. Francis Kojo Arthur has refuted claims by some members of the public that the 2012 election petition hearing at the Supreme Court has slowed down Ghanas economy. According to Hon. Francis Arthur, those who hold such view have no tangible basis to back their claim. Speaking to Peace Fm in an interview, Hon Francis Arthur said the delay in presenting the 2013 budget as a result of the December 2012 election which has always been the situation in every election year, could be cited for the apparent slowness in the economy rather than the 2012 election petition hearing at the Supreme Court. In spite of this development he said the country is still on the path of economic prosperity under the NDC government.
