NPP Leaders Are In Court To Hide Their Failure To Perform Better Than Their Predecessors

A member of the NDC communication team, Bernard Anim Piesie, has hinted that the leadership of the opposition NPP want to cover their failure to win the 2012 elections with the court case for the grass-root members. He claims that after the failure of Peter Mac Manu and Nana Ohene Ntows administration to retain power for the NPP in 2008, Ex-President Kufour said that it is embarrassing to call yourself a general secretary in opposition rather than being a messenger in a ruling government. Speaking on Okay FM, he said that this message from Ex-President Kufour forced the delegates to vote out the past leaders from power and then ushered in a new leadership; adding that the current leaders after realizing their failure to come close to the 49% achievement of their predecessors, have schemed up this excuse to avoid the wrath of their supporters at the grass-root level that they did not lose the elections. According to the NDC communicator, the petitioners lies are coming out as they claim 22 polling stations did not exist to them but through the cross examination it has been established that the first petitioner Nana Akufo-Addo wrote and signed a letter sent to the EC acknowledging the existence of those polling stations. He again said that the truth about the allegations of the petitioners will come out when Dr. Afari Gyan mounts the witness box to reveal the dubious plot the petitioners have hidden in their evidence to throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians and their supporters. He further said that they are lying to Ghanaians with their claim just to achieve their intended purpose to be maintained in the helm of affairs in the party, as they voted out the past leaders because of their failure. He said that it is a wonder for the current leaders to see that they could not achieve what their predecessors did.
