"NPP Petitioners Are Not In Court Because Of Propaganda; They Have Hard Core Evidence"

The communication director of New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Greater Accra, Michael Ampong has told the NDC party to desist from trying to involve propaganda in the court case because they want to be maintained as leaders of the party at the next delegate conference. He reminded that the petitioners are in court because they have enough evidence, saying that the Supreme Court is not a place for sentiments or propaganda as the NDC wants to portray in court; adding that the court is a competent place to adjudicate serious matters which demands hard core evidence. Speaking on Okay FM, he said that the Supreme Court is the highest court of the land which has the best legal luminaries and so nobody can present a quack case to them; stressing that if the materials sent to the judges are of no use they will not waste time on it but discard them. He said the fact of the matter is that the NPP petitioners are not in court because of propaganda to deceive the court and Ghanaians, but they have hard core evidence; adding that the propaganda of the NDC should stop. He again said that the NDC peddled falsehood that the NPP does not have any evidence against the 2012 elections results; stressing that the petitioners are credible and not prepared to tender in documents which will sort to undermine the integrity of the Supreme Court and Ghanaians in general. He educated that the case in court is a pacesetter which will end all propaganda, ethnocentrism and lies to win elections and instead set a credible institution to handle elections in the country.
