Tsatsu Tsikata Has Not Been Honest

A member of the communication team of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described as a dishonesty approach of cross-examining Dr Mahamadu Bawumia by Tsatsu Tsikata, Counsel for the Third Respondent (NDC) by creating the impression the petitioners only highlighted that over-voting in the 2012 elections took place in strongholds of President John Dramani Mahama. Hopeson Adoryeh pointed out that Dr. Bawumia, Principal Witness for the petitioners, in his analysis, made a map covering the whole country where the said over-voting occurred; adding that the analysis of over-voting happened in all the ten regions and among them are the strongholds of Nana Akufo Addo, the first petitioner. He further stressed that Dr. Bawumia has stated region by region in his analysis where over-voting occurred; stressing that it is wrong and dishonest on the part of Tsatsu Tsikata to pick-and-choose pink sheets which will portray a one sided case to favor his party (NDC). Speaking on Okay fm, he said that the demeanor and gesticulation of Tsatsu Tsikata prove that he has nothing more to ask the witness in his cross-examination and that what he (Tsatsu Tsikata) is seeking to do now is to unduly delay the case and to create the impression that the petitioners erred in their evidence just as the EC did. According to him, the reason behind what Tsatsu Tsikata is doing is because, the NDC, in their earlier response to the petitioners allegations, stated that there is no truth in what has been presented to the Supreme Court and even branded the case bogus which must be dismissed. He therefore wondered how Tsatsu Tsikata has suddenly come to admit that indeed there were irregularities in the 2012 election as claimed by the petitioners.
