Nana Addo Should Withdraw the Court Case or NPP Can Never Elect a New Flagbearer

The National Women's Organizer of the ruling NDC, Anita De Soso, has said frontrunners of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) must have a bilateral talk with the partys 2012 presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to withdraw the petition filed to challenge the results of 2012 election in court. According to her, the NPP cannot in any way hold a congress to elect party executives as well as their presidential candidate for the 2016 elections while the 2012 election results is still been battled in court by Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey. This she said is not only heartrending to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), but the NPP as well, since both party hierarchies cannot flout the court hearings to run party activities prior to the 2016 general elections. Anita De Soso was speaking to the issue of is supposed to raise funds for KPMGs audit of the pink sheet as ordered by the Supreme Court when counsel for the NDC, Tsatsu Tsikata accused the petitioners of padding. If they (the NPP) have brought a case before the court and there is a recount, they must also be part of the funding; it cant only be the respondents and the court. They must pay for the re-count so next time they will be vigilant... If Nana Akufo-Addo is not willing to pay, then he should let us all know he is in court for his own interest and not the NPP party as a whole. Akufo Addo is not only disturbing the NDC but the NPP as well. If he (Nana Akufo-Addo) rebuffed suggestions to to withdraw the case, the NPP can never go to congress. They (NPP) cannot hold their primaries at polling stations, constituencies, regionals and to national level. They can also not elect a new presidential candidate for 2016. Again they (the NPP) cant draft their manifesto and hit the grounds for the 2016 election. Until Nana Akufo-Addo will throw in the towel, the NPP will have no peace in their party. It is obvious some of their party frontrunners are irritated by the act of Nana Addo since he (Nana Addo) believes he is still the partys presidential candidate for 2016, Anita De Soso clarified on Adom FM.
