Queen-mothers of Asogli Traditional Area, on Tuesday commended President John Dramani Mahama for elevating Madam Grace Adzroe to the position of Acting Controller and Accountant General. In a telephone interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mama Attrato II, Queen-mother of Ho-Dome and Spokesperson for Asogli Queen-mothers, said President Mahama�s nomination of Madam Adzroe was an indication of his commitment to women empowerment. She described Madam Adzroe as �very respectful, hard working, assertive and competent,� with potentials of transforming the Controller and Accountant General's Department. �We are happy for Madam Adzroe. We saw it coming and we are confident she will perform,� Mama Attrato said. She said the Asogli Traditional Area was hopeful that Madam Adzroe would become the substantive Head of the Department. She said Mama Akua Dei, Paramount Queen-mother of Asogli Traditional Area, was rallying all women in the area behind Madam Adzroe and was hopeful that she would justify her nomination. Until her elevation, Madam Adzroe, who to hails from Ho-Dome, was a Deputy Controller and Accountant-General.
