Ghana Is In A State of Lawlessness Now - Nana Konadu

Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings, a former First Lady and President of the 31st December Women's Movement (DWM), has said the recent killings and robbery in Kumasi clearly shows the state of lawlessness Ghana is now experiencing in recent times. I feel the pains in the recent killings in Kumasi and this is due to the lawlessness in the country now. You cannot have a policeman per citizen. We need a social sense of responsibility whereby the citizens will know what to do at what time. There must be law and order or this nation will go into an abyss and seems no one cares. If even you are expressing your views, they claim you are attacking personalities and its really wrong. If we dont criticize ourselves for the wrong path we are going as a nation, then this nation will be in a mess, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings was reacting to the recent killings in Kumasi. In an interview with Accra-based Adom FM Wednesday morning, the former first lady opined If there was law and order, all these happens will not have happened. It looks like there is chaos in the country now. Things that never happened in our country afore are now happening now. We should ask ourselves why these things are happening. These assailant will start attacking all of us in our various houses if care is not taking". Nonetheless, Nana Konadu calls for discipline among government institutions as well citizens so as the recent killings will end in the Kumasi metropolis and the nation as a whole. If there is no discipline in a country, it is the first step in disorder in a country. We must all be discipline and train our children well to avoid such happenings, she advised.
