Jobless C. K. Akunnor could still join Asante Kotoko as head coach should Mas-Ud Dramani leave his job at the end of the season. The 39-year-old is still in contact with Kotoko officials and is option to step into the shoes of Mas-Ud Dramani should he quit the club at the end of the season. Dramani has reportedly told Kotoko chief KK Sarpong he would quit his job as Kotoko head coach at the end of the seasona and Kotoko's management would not like his post to be vacant for long. According to Ghana Sports sources in Kumasi, Akunnor would immediately be named in Dramani's place and appoint club legend Abdul Razak who has continental coaching experience from Stade de Malien as technical head if he quits Kotoko. The club have also maintained contact with Abukari Damba who was sacked at Hearts. The club has however dispel reports about appointing Razak as technical head.
