The Supreme Court has dismissed an application by the Respondents in the election petition case to cross-examine four witnesses of the petitioners. President of the nine-member panel adjudicating on the case, Justice Atuguba, in throwing out the motion said it would prolong the case. He further stated that the court has enough evidence to make a firm decision and would not need extra information from the said witnesses to make a determination of the case. The Respondents had prayed the court to haul into the dock the Member of Parliament for Tano North in the Brong Ahafo Region, Freda Prempeh. Kwabena Twum Nuamah, Eugene Sackey, (NPP candidate (Upper West Akim), Peter Wuni Baga, (NPP candidate for Nalerigu-Gambaga).
