Pressure group, Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA) has rejected police protection as it looks to organise a public forum at the Kumasi Polytechnic to educate students and members of the community on the ongoing election petition case. According to the spokesperson of the group, David Asante, no Police presence was needed because �it is going to be purely an indoor event so Police protection or presence may really not be necessary.� He noted that the in-door forum will present the best platform to call for justice in the Supreme Court as the petitioners challenge the results of the December 7 elections. In an interview with Citi News, Mr. Asante explained that his outfit was going to �meet the student groups in the university and then we will do another programme; an open forum in the polytechnics.� According to him, the forum will be in the form of discussions with the students and members of the constituency �who believe in the simple principle of the pursuit of justice at the Supreme Court.� Speakers at the forum include the Deputy Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Samuel Awuku, and National Youth Organizer for the People's National Convention (PNC), Abu Ramadan.
