A security officer has been shot dead by some unknown criminals who invaded a popular hotel at Bantama to carry out their nefarious operation. Peace, Hello and Okay FM's Ashanti Regional correspondent, Sampson Nyamekye who was at the crime scene Monday morning, reported that upon the little information he gathered it appears the criminals suspected the Ashfood Court Hotel was housing people with valuable items as at the time they invaded the place. An eyewitness who also spoke to our reporter informed him that the incident occurred at around 2:15am. The deceased, whose name was given as Joe was said to have been seriously brutalized by the assailants before they finally shot him for making their work difficult. However, speaking on both Okay and Peace FM,the Ashanti Regional Police PRO, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mohammed Yusif Tanko, revealed that his outfit swiftly acted to the news after it broke out and have made an arrest. He refused to name the person in their custody but gave an assurance that after they are through with their investigations, the name of the suspect would be made known.
