JOSE MOURINHO has been one of the worlds best bosses of modern times but is he still Special? A look at the highs n lows of the Portugueses career 1992 Sporting Lisbon: Works as translator to legendary boss Bobby Robson before becoming more involved in team affairs paving the way for a meteoric rise to managerial stardom. HIGH 1993 Porto: Follows Robson to Portuguese giants, before accompanying the great man to Barcelona as assistant coach in 1996. HIGH 2000 Benfica: Lasts just nine games as coach of Benfica before quitting due to a boardroom struggle a decision then club president Manuel Vilarinho would live to regret. LOW 2001 Uniao de Leiria: Rebuilds reputation with Portuguese minnows, leading them to their highest-ever league finish of fifth. HIGH 2003 Porto: Having rejoined Porto this time as boss in January 2002, Mourinho led the team to a terrific treble of league, cup and UEFA Cup success. The latter came with a thrilling final win over Celtic, with Deco, Ricardo Carvalho and Paul Ferreira all starring. HIGH 2004 Porto: Mourinho went one better the season after, sealing shock Champions League glory with a 3-0 win over Monaco in the final. His most famous moment from the competition was legging it down the touchline at Old Trafford after knocking Alex Fergusons Manchester United out. Also retained the league title. HIGH 2005 Chelsea: Mourinho announced himself as The Special One when he joined the Blues in 2004, but lived up to it by winning the Blues first league title in 50 years. Also beat Liverpool in the League Cup final to seal a historic double. HIGH 2006 Chelsea: Retains the Premier League title, making it four domestic titles in a row for the Portugeezer. HIGH 2007 Chelsea: Wins the League Cup but is knocked out of the Champions League semi-final by Liverpool thanks to Luis Garcias ghost goal. Wins the FA Cup against Manchester United but a poor start to the new season sees Mourinho make a shock exit from Stamford Bridge. LOW 2009 Inter: Continues Inters great success by winning Serie A in his first season. HIGH 2010 Inter: Guides the Italian side to an amazing treble, winning the league, Coppa Italia and the Champions League. Victory over Bayern in the final sealed glory but Mourinho may have got the most pleasure from knocking old club Chelsea out in the last 16. HIGH 2011 Real Madrid: After leaving Inter for Real, Mourinho had a mixed first season. His side crashed out of the Champions League to arch-rivals Barcelona in the semi-finals. And despite winning the Copa Del Rey, he marred the Super Copa clash against Barca that followed by appearing to poke then Catalans assistant boss Tito Vilanova in the eye. LOW 2012 Real Madrid: Romped to the La Liga title, helping Real to the most points obtained in any of the top European leagues (100). HIGH 2013 Real Madrid: A disastrous defence of their league title sees Real win nothing and Mourinho eventually leave the club by mutual consent. Mourinho has rows with a host of his own players including Iker Casillas, Pepe and super star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Sun exclusively reveals the Portuguese is set to return to Stamford Bridge this summer. LOW Verdict: MOURINHOS stock may have fallen in the last year after Reals pitiful defence of their La Liga title. But one poor season does not make a bad manager and we fully expect Jose to be to his blockbusting best.
