AMA Boss: Some People Must Learn To Apply "Common Sense" When Addressing Issues

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly boss, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, has squarely replied individuals who took to the media and vented their anger in the aftermath of the inferno that brought down some part of Kantamato; suggesting that it is high time such people learnt to apply their common sense when addressing issues. The AMA boss came under series of attacks when traders from the Kantamanto market hit the streets of Accra to register their displeasure over their inability to secure space at the Pedestrian Shopping Mall at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle after the tragedy hit them. Others accused him and some officials in government of masterminding to pull down the structures at Kantamanto through every means. But speaking on Okay FM, a sad Alfred Oko Vanderpuije stated that he is surprised the issue had taken such a twist. He condemned all those who were accusing him falsely for doing no harm and prompted them to use their common sense when tackling sensitive issues. I dont believe we have to spend one minute of our important time on that issue, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije told the host of the show. How can a whole AMA boss plot to burn a market? My dear brothers, we must learn to apply sense when addressing issues. We are trying to build a millennium city which would feature roads, streets; schools etc and they are claiming we turned around to burn a market. We must be responsible because these are statements that make other countries look down upon us, he said.
