Former National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, has said Ghanaians must extol Stanbic Bank Ghana for their overwhelming benevolence to the victims of just recent Kantamanto fire outbreak. According to the NPP man, other banks must emulate what Alhassan Andani, the Managing Director of Stanbic Bank Ghana has done to help the victims to help reestablish them into business. �We need to praise Stanbic Bank for the gesture. Meaning all victims of the kantamanto fire outbreak owing them (Stanbic Bank) debts have been cancelled. This is surprising and this is what other banks must do to help the victims. ��not only the banks, but the small scale savings companies where most of these traders go for loans from must also write off the loans of affected victims to show their sympathy of what has happened. Stanbic Bank must be lauded for this great kindness to the victims because this a major relieve from them (Stanbic Bank)�, he said this on Adom FM. Stanbic Bank Ghana has written off the debts of about 14 of its Customers who were among the scores of traders whose items got destroyed by fire at the Kantamanto market a few weeks ago. In addition, the Bank has donated GHc 1,000 to the Traders to help them recover from the disaster. Stanbic Ghana said the donation and cancellation of the Traders� debt form part of its commitment to providing affordable, low-risk and unique products for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
