Earth Tremor Hits Akuse, Adidome

An earth tremor measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale hit Akuse and Adidome on Thursday, Chief Director of the Ghana Survey Department John Adjei Duodu has confirmed. Speaking on TV3�s News 360 on Thursday, Mr Duodu disclosed that the tremor occurred around 1:30 pm. Mr Duodu revealed last year that with the introduction of the Seismic Monitoring Network equipment earth tremors seem to be a daily occurrence in Ghana. The automatic locator has detected more earthquake-prone areas in Ghana, he said.
