NDC Counsel: Asiedu Nketia Showed In Court Why He Is Called General

A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) legal team, Nana Ato Dadzie, has acclaimed Johnson Asiedu Nketia who is the chief witness of the first and third respondents for his extraordinary performance showed during his first appearance in the witness box in the ongoing 2012 Presidential Election Petition. According to him, being the first and third respondents witness, Mr. Nketia has proven why he is known in the political terrain in Ghana as the one and only General. Asiedu Nketia has shown why he is called the General. He speaks for the President as well as the NDC and he really did very well in court when he mounted the witness box. If one is choosing a witness, you must choose someone who can talk and explain matters to the understanding of everyone. Asiedu Nketia was exceptional in court, he extolled. General Mosquito as he is popularly called, on Thursday took his turn in the witness box in the ongoing Presidential Election Petition before the Supreme Court and according to the NDC counsel he acquitted himself well and proved that he is well experienced in the electoral processes. Speaking to Asempa FM, Nana Ato Dadzie said, it was speculated that the chief witness of the first and third respondents could not have expressed himself well grammatically but that did not happened. They (the NPP) thought Asiedu Nketia cannot speak English but that was fabricated. He showed he understands Mathematics very well and expressed himself well. Asiedu Nketia explained to the court what Dr. Bawumia claimed were irregularities in some polling stations and he did that to perfection. You can see in Asiedu Nketia a real political character unlike Dr. Bawumia who is more an administrator and a technocrat. His (Asiedu Nketia) composure was awesome in court. He is really a General, he said. He however debunked allegations that Asiedu Nketia suggested to give his evidence in the local dialect vernacular (Twi).
