NMC Announces New Board For State Owned Media

The National Media Commission has announced the appointment of new members for state owned media organisations. A statement signed by the Executive Secretary for the NMC, Mr George Sarpong said the appointments were made in consultation with the President and that the members are to manage the state owned media in accordance with Article 168 of the 1992 Constitution and section 2 (1) (e) of the National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449). The appointments take immediate effect and are for a period of two years. The appointed persons are: New Times Corporation Prof. Omane Antwi- Chair, Mr. Yonny Kulendi, Alhaji Haruna Atta, Rose Margaret Kpodo, Isaac Fritz Andoh, Charles Vandyck and the Managing Director. Graphic Comm. Group Ltd Dr. Doris Dartey- Chair, Prof. Kwame Karikari, Hajj Mohammed Amir Kpakpo Addo, Ben Assorow, Gideon Quarcoo, Gerald Ankrah, Nana Asantewa Afadzinu and the Managing Director. Ghana News Agency Reginald Laryea- Chair, Sheila Menka Premo, Edmund Fianko, Prof. Atta Britwum, Mamle Asare, Christiana Adjoa Osam Ansah and the General Manager. Ghana Broadcasting Corporation Richard Kwame Asante- Chair, Akwasi Afriyie Badu, Oscar Bruce, Irene Duncan-Adanusa, Prince Ankrah, Mohammed Aminu Futa, Valentina Bannerman, Nii Addo Kwei Moffat and the Director General.
