President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Major General Carl Modey, Commissioner of Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS), as an Ambassador designate.
Mr Isaac Apronti, Deputy Commissioner, now takes over as Acting Commissioner of CEPS, beginning June 17, 2013.
This was contained in a press statement copied to the Ghana News Agency and signed by Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister of Information and Media Relations.
Major General Modey has also been directed by the President to commence his accumulated leave due him, starting from Monday June 17, 2013.
