Sulley Muntari Pleads With Kevin Prince Boateng, Ayew Brothers & Essien...

AC Milan ace Sulley Muntari has pleaded to all retired Ghana internationals including his club-mate Kevin-Prince Boateng to return. Chelsea ace Michael Essien and the Ayew brothers Jordan and Andre have also put Ghanas call on hold. The last two years, as many as five Black Stars players took temporary breaks from international football citing several reasons. Now Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan quit after suffering criticism following the countrys inability to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. But he returned five months later and led the team to a fourth-place finish. Former Germany youth international Boateng announced he was quitting the national team in November 2011 citing health reasons. Essien made a return from a lengthy injury lay-off in November 2011 but he asked to be excused from the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after he joined Real Madrid on loan last August. Marseille duo Andre and Jordan quit after being left out of Ghanas squad for the Nations Cup finals in South Africa. With Ghana fighting for qualification to the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil, Muntari wants the four players back. (Kevin-Boateng) Prince is one amazing player I have played with, he is a good guy as well and we would love to have him back because we know what exactly he can give and not only him, Muntari said. I will also plead with Michael Essien, Dede Ayew and Jordan Ayew to join us because they are very good players and important to us. If we get these players back definitely no one can compete with us so I will use this opportunity to plead with them to probably change their mind and join us soon.
