Kojo Adu-Asare, a former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Adentan constituency has come out from what he describes as �a temporary break from media activities� to poke at the lead counsel of the petitioners who are challenging the validity of the 2012 election results in the Supreme court, Mr. Phillip Addison. Refering to a post on his facebook wall, the former law maker sought to remind his friends of an assertion he made on an Accra based radio station, pointing to the fact that Mr. Addison would be no match for the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) but went about it in a satiric manner. �I remember saying it on Asempa fm that, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia will mesmerize, confuse, dismantle and deflate the legal experience of Mr Addison during cross examination and voilaaaa! it has happened and I can say on authority that there's confusion among the 'lllegal' Ei... Legal illuminaties, Ei...luminaries sorry, on their side of the divide�. The former MP wrote. Hon. Adu-Asare�s post on the social networking site popped up a few hours after Lawyer Addison, the lead Counsel of the three petitioners, namely; Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey rounded up his cross examination of the first and third respondent, the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia on Wednesday. Despite the fact that many believe the out-spoken NDC General Secretary was trapped when confronted with an interview he granted Accra-based Citi FM on December 20th during which he admitted most of the issues he had earlier denied while in the witness box, the former legislator added that, �In as much as I concede it�s still early days yet, Asiedu Nketia's testimony has bastardised the �On the face of the pink sheets� theory. Bawumia's testimony has been rendered deficiently theoretical on the face of rationalization, which is what you and I can conveniently do at this stage pending the verdict. Folks shout Halleluya regardless.....GOD WILL SPEAK AGAIN�. Just before his cross examination came to an end, Johnson Asiedu Nketia stated that he did not hear the Chairman of the Electoral Commission saying that all polling stations where the votes in the ballot box exceeded the number of people verified to vote would be annulled and said that the Inter � Party Advisory Council never took any decision of the sort. This denial among many other denials led lawyer Philip Addison to remind the NDC General Secretary of an interview he granted Citi FMs Richard Sky on the station�s �Point Blank� program and asked him if he recalled the statements he made during the particular interview. General Mosquito, as he is popularly called, stated that he could not recall the interview or the statements he made in the said interview prompting Philip Addison to seek leave from the court to play a tape of the interview. When eventually the tape was played, Johnson Asiedu Nketia was clearly heard stating that at IPAC the parties had agreed that no person should be allowed to vote without verification.
