Black Stars Leave For Ethiopian Camp

Six players are expected to join the Ghana camp as the Black Stars set up camp in Ethiopia this week for next month's World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho. Nineteen players departed Accra, Thursday afternoon with head coach Kwesi Appiah after three days of training in the Ghanaian capital. The French duo of Mohammed Rabiu and Jonathan Mensah, Solomon Asante, Richard Kissi-Boateng, Harrison Afful and Mubarak Wakaso will join their colleagues in Ethiopia. The Black Stars will be based in the East African country before their departure on 5 June. Ghana play Sudan in Khartoum on June 7 before flying out to Maseru to meet Lesotho on June 16 in the penultimate second round fixture. The Black Stars, chasing a third consecutive appearance at the World Cup finals are just one point adrift leaders, Zambia with three matches left to play in the second round of qualifying.
