Ghana�s Mobile Telecommunications leader, MTN, has received three major awards at the recent Mobile World Ghana Telecoms Awards 2013 in recognition of the immense contributions it has made to the development of the telecommunications industry in Ghana. The awards received are: CEO of the Year � This is given to the CEO who best managed their organisation for the period in question. Best Telecom Operator of the Year � Based on the company� competitiveness, business execution, reliability, pricing and customer service, provision of strong and attractive service offerings and strategic vision. Best Business Service of the Year � Recognition of the service provider that has launched the best new service for business customers. This awards ceremony, which is in its third year, was organized under the auspices of Mobile World Ghana to recognize the contributions of mobile telecommunications companies to the development of the economy. Mr. Akin Naphtal, Group Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Mobile World, organizers of the awards, said the event was to celebrate the continued growth and success of the IT market place and to focus on exceptional and innovative performers within the industry. The Corporate Services Executive, Mrs Cynthia Lumor who received the awards on behalf of the CEO of MTN Ghana said MTN was honored to receive the awards as they confirmed the leading role the company continues to play in the provision of relevant telecommunication services to Ghanaians.
