Stanbic Bank Launches SWITCH Promo

Stanbic Bank Ghana has launched a promotion that will make it possible for people to open personal current accounts with a minimum of GH�15. The promotion, which is dubbed SWITCH, also allows a minimum deposit of GH�200 for a new business (company) account. The Head of Personal and Business Banking at Stanbic Bank Ghana, Mr Kevin Wingfield, said the promotion was aimed at attracting more personal and corporate customers to do business with the bank. Mr Wingfield was optimistic that the personal current account, which is available during the promotion period, would give customers access to other products and services. Other benefits include personal loans of up to GH�50,000, flexible vehicle and asset financing, as well as mortgages. �This is an exciting promotion and the most aggressive ever run by the bank to grow our business,� the Head of Channels at the bank, Mr Benjamin Mensah, said. He added that �with 26 branches, the bank will continue to enhance its electronic banking capability to serve customers better.� The Stanbic business current account, he further stated, was an ideal way for customers to move their business finances up through SMS / email alert services; availability of 24-hour internet banking anywhere in the world; and an international Visa Debit card that allowed one to pay for goods and services in Ghana and abroad, and also make payments online. Also, he said, the business account, VISA Debit card, came with a daily withdrawal limit of up to GH�3,000 and access to collateral-free business loans of up to GH�50,000. �Customers of the business account will have access to major international currencies, including the South African Rand and the Chinese Yuan. They also will have access to a wide range of other Stanbic savings and investments products,� he explained. In addition, customers will enjoy free first cheque book, free SMS/ email alerts, internet banking and free ATM withdrawals at all Stanbic ATMs and their international debit card is also free.� Further, following a partnership with DSTV and Samsung, customers stand the chance to benefit from a lot of giveaways. The Managing Director of the bank, Mr Alhassan Andani, encouraged the public to �SWITCH� to experience superior banking. Mr Andani said Stanbic would continue to engage the corporate sector through trade finance, forex operations and the introduction of products such as executive banking and the workplace banking offering.
