General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and witness for both first and third respondents in the ongoing 2012 Presidential Election Petition, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said he was unperturbed during his cross-examination section by counsel for the petitioners, Lawyer Philip Addison. �I was blissful in the witness box because I proved to them (the petitioners) every single word I said. What fascinated me most in the witness box was that, Ghanaians now know how truthful I am,� he said. According to Asiedu Nketia, he was too keen to be daunted by the petitioners counsel since he knew whatever he was saying in court and stick trodden to that until he was released from the witness box. Drama unfolded during General Mosquito�s cross-examination when a recorded interview of his prior to the election relating to biometric verification was played in court. �Lawyer Addison wanted to intimidate me with my voice on the tape he played in court but that was exactly what I was saying in court. He (Addison) was not courageous enough to continue with his cross-examination so I was shocked when he ended his cross-examination. ��Because he was zealous to drill me in the witness box, I did not know why all of the sudden he pulled out and ended. I was so prepared to cross 20 days of the cross-examination with him (Philip Addison) since Dr. Bawumia spent 13 days in the witness box,� he said. Nonetheless, Asiedu Nketia alleged that the petitioner�s lawyer used only one and half days to cross-examine him to prevent an embarrassment in court. Speaking on the �Ekosii Sen� programme on Asempa FM, General Mosquito as popularly called detailed that his witness was fairly what he thought was right and had no intentions to fib after swearing with the Holy Bible.
