President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Mr. Kofi Totobi Quakyi to head the Planning Committee to draw up a programme to mark the first anniversary of the passing away of our late President, His Excellency John Evans Atta Mills. In a statement signed by the Hon Mahama Ayariga, Minister for Information and Media Relations, the decision was in line with custom and tradition and also in consultation with the Atta Mills family. In line with custom and tradition, and also in consultation with the Atta Mills family, His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama has set up a Planning Committee to draw up a programme to mark the first anniversary of the passing away of our late President, His Excellency John Evans Atta Mills which sad event occurred on the 24th of July 2012. The Committee is under the Chairmanship of Mr. Kofi Totobi Quakyi and has its secretariat at the State Protocol Office, State House, Accra. All enquiries relating to the customary first anniversary celebration should therefore be channeled to the Secretariat. Signed
