Afari Gyan Should Stop Corresponding With His Lawyers In Court

Star witness for the Electoral Commission, Dr. Afari Gyan, has been cautioned by counsel for the petitioners; Lawyer Philip Addisson, to stop making eye contact with his lawyers and taking clues from them anytime he runs out of ideas on how to answer a question posed to him. Lawyer Addison revealed that he had received several reports from people who have been monitoring the proceedings keenly on their TV sets about the inappropriate conduct of Dr. Afari Gyan whenever he corresponds with his lawyers in court. People watching on TV have been seeing you, he boldly told Dr. Afari Gyan. Lawyer Addison suggested to Dr. Afari Gyan to keep his eyes glued to the direction of the bench anytime he mounted the witness box to answer questions relating to the petition before the Supreme Court. I think you should spend your time looking at the bench, he said. As expected from his defender in court, Dr. Afari Gyans lawyer rose up to take a strong exception to the false allegation being laid on his witness. But Mr. Addison had these words for him: I am not sure my learned friend has seen the TV coverage. I am telling him reports I have received directly, he has not seen it. However, the room burst out with laughter when Justice Atuguba added his voice and comically noted that if Dr. Afari Gyan is to oblige by Mr. Addisons direction, he (Afari Gyan) would later be accused of taking clues from the bench.
