MP Assists BECE Candidates With Educational Items

Mr Abeiku Crentsil, Member of Parliament for Ekumfi, has presented educational items to candidates sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the new Ekumfi District. The items worth GHC7,000, include 120 boxes of mathematical sets and 120 boxes of pens to support the candidates to write this year�s BECE examinations. Mr Crentsil made the presentation when he visited the examination centres in the company of the District Director of Education, Mr Robert Mensah, the nominated District Chief Executive, Mr Ibrahim Kweku Dawson, District Coordinating Director, Mr Emmanuel Baifie and the National Democratic Congress Constituency Chairman, Mr Kwame Nkrumah. The MP appealed to the school children to face the examinations with courage, hope and dedication while urging them to desist from examination malpractices and pray for God�s help and guidance. Mr Dawson advised the candidates to set high standards as they are the first batch to write the examination in the district, and urged them to do away with �inferiority complex and face the examination as a class test�. Mr Mensah commended the MP for the support and appealed to the candidates to do well in the examinations.
