Black Satellites Defeat U.S To Boost Hopes

Ghana boosted their chances of reaching the knock-out stages of the FIFA U-20 World Cup on Thursday after a thrilling 4-1 win against USA. It was all debut goals at the Kadir Has Stadium in Kayseri and the tournament for Ghana's scorers on the night as the U.S are now eliminated. Ebenezer Assifuah's brace was scored in between goals by Frank Acheampong and Kennedy Ashia to hand the Black Satellites their first win at the tournament in Turkey. After two straight defeats in Group A, the Black Satellites are now on three points with a goal difference of zero meaning they must wait to see if they progress as one of four third-place sides.
