Hearts of Oak Release Laryea Kingston

Ghanaian Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have released former Ghana international midfielder Laryea Kingston of his contract, the club have announced. Kingston, who turns 33 in November, had 22 days left on his running contract with the former African champions but the club have agreed to release him off his contract to allow him negotiate a deal. Hearts of Oak decided to grant the former Black Stars influential midfielder amnesty of his double suspension following what is reported to be an improvement in character. Kingston is close to sealing a deal with a Major Soccer League side in the USA and his release would help him fast-track his move to the club. The former Heart of Midlothian star-man rejoined the 19-time Ghana Premier League title winners at the second half of the 2011/12 season but successive fracases with coaches and club officials limited him to a few number of appearances for Hearts. Hearts of Oak had earlier rejected a release request from the mercurial midfielder.
