Total to unveil its new look

Total Petroleum Ghana Limited is to roll out its new look with the introduction of 200 new service stations in all the 10 regions of the country. Dubbed, T-Air image, the initiative is aimed at creating an environmentally friendly space that would enhance the relationship between the staff of Total Petroleum and its clients. Speaking at this years annual general meeting (AGM) in Accra, the Board Chairman of the company, Mr Thibault de Langlais, said the move was in line with growing market trends. T-Air image is a major investment that will take five years to complete. It is also evidence of Totals desire to play a part in local development and establish a long-term presence in Ghana and the rest of Africa where the group operates. According to Mr Langlais, T-Air image is aimed at providing the network with a well-defined identity: one that is based on a more modern brand image, with service stations that are better integrated into their landscape. On the performance of the company, Mr Langlais said Total Petroleum Ghana Limited posted an impressive performance for the year ended 2012, recording a profit after tax of GH3.05 million. The 2012 figure represents an increase of 35 per cent on the 2011 figure of GH2.3 million. Mr Langlais said the increase originated from the sale of lubricants, aviation, bitumen and other new products and services offered to customers. With regard to the companys financial performance, he said the companys revenue in 2012 reached GH1.2 million; a 28 per cent increase over that of 2011. Also, the level of investment in 2012, according to Mr Langlais, increased significantly, reaching GH28.4 million. He added that the focus of the investment was on improving the quality of the network of service stations and the creation of new outlets. Your board is recommending a final dividend of GH0.69 per share before tax in respect of the year ended, culminating in a total dividend of GH1.25 per share to be paid to shareholders in respect of the same year, he said. For his part, the Managing Director of Total Petroleum Ghana Limited, Mr Guillaume Larroque, said the company aimed at providing the highest level of customer satisfaction and would focus on implementing high standards of ethics and business conducts.
