I Give Credit To The Boys For Ghanas Victory - Sellas Tetteh

Ghanas U-20 head Coach, Sellas Tetteh has applauded his team for putting up a high-spirited performance against Chile in the quarter final match of the on-going World U-20 tournament in Turkey. According to him, he told his boys to go all out after narrowly escaping elimination in the group stages matches when they were beaten by France and Spain before advancing on goal difference following their 4-1 win against United State of America. When we (the team) were in the dressing room, I kept yelling at them that this is the match they have to win at all cost. Even when we were down, we kept playing our type of football we use to play until we got the equalizer. I think I will give credit to the boys, they have showed their tenacity once again and showed good brand of Ghanaian football. They have entertained the fans and the public. People were sitting on tenterhooks, they did not know where the waves were going but thank God finally it landed on our side, he said. Speaking with journalists after his side had qualified to the semi-finals, the former U-20 World champion coach, Sellas Tetteh aka Bobovic opined We didn't panic; we still played our type of football. The Black Satellites in a dramatic style beat Chile by 4-3 to secure a place in the semi-finals of the on-going U-20 tournament. The victory was another riposte for Ghana, who in the previous knockout round beat Portugal 3-2 with two late goals. Ghana will come face to face with France in the Semi-finals on Wednesday in Bursa after France had earlier on trashed Ghana by 3-1 in the Group A stage matches .
