I am One Of The Best In The Kitchen - First Lady

Eighteen years after leaving the school, the First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama, returned to the Flair Catering Institute with pride, shared an inspirational secret with students and accordingly expressed gratitude to the school authorities. The occasion was the 45 anniversary of Flair Catering last Friday where she joined the staff and 48 graduates for the 42nd Graduation at the school premises at Cantonment, Accra. Ably introduced by her 1995 mate, Mrs. Obuobia Darko Opoku, who is a news anchor at Radio Gold and Onetime Member of Parliament aspirant for the Weija Gbawe Constituency, the First Lady told an elated gathering of management, graduates and their parents that due to the training she received at the institute she can boast of being one of the best hands in the Kitchen. �I have always enjoyed cooking, I see myself as one of the best cooks in the kitchen, thanks to Flair for training me as a caterer. I have been able to train many people how to cook delicious meals,� she emphasized. Aside from acknowledging that Flair Catering provided her the platform to add the professional touch to her childhood activity of cooking, the First Lady noted that the training received In the school left a lasting impact on her life and afforded her a window of opportunity that helped changed her life for which she encouraged the graduates to make the best out of the training. �But be prepared for the hours and commitment needed, because you will need to love what you do in order to succeed in this challenging industry, �she admonished. Under the theme �Improving delivery of services in the hospitality industry,� 43 females and five males graduated with skills in food hygiene, hospitality catering, hotel management in theory and practical lessons.
