NPP MP: Pastor Otabil Is Not Prophetic But Prayerful And Blessed

1 Chronicles 16:22 says Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. This is the message Hon. Titus Glover, Member of Parliament for Tema East leaves for individuals tarnishing the image of Dr. Mensah Otabil. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP has warned the media and the public to cease from castigation the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr. Mensah Otabil after he called on Ghanaians to pray for Ghana for what he has anticipated in a month time. The renowned man of God during his last Sunday service prayer session at the IGCC Temple presaged evil befalling Ghana within the next one month and called for prayers nationwide. With a prayerful voice on July 14, 2013, he said I have a sense of heaviness in my spirit concerning the destiny of this country that there is something heavy ready to fall upon this country - if we do not take charge of that we will be in a different state a month from now. We make these declarationsthere shall be no civil war in Ghanathere will be no military takeover in Ghanathere will be no bloodshed in Ghanathere will be no coup dtatthere will be peace in Ghanathe land shall have peace and restthere will be prosperity in Ghanaabundance in the name of Jesus, he stated during the prayer session. But this revelation has been misinterpreted in the public domain as some has described the man of God as Prophet of Doom and Coup Monger. In a riposte reply on Adom FM, Hon Titus Glover insists that Pastor Otabil is not Prophetic as claimed but rather a Prayerful and Inspirational man of God. He therefore sees no reason why Dr. Mensah Otabilss prayer topic should be described as a prophecy. Pastor Mensah Otabil is not someone who prophesied, throughout all his preaching he has never been prophetic but look at the way God has blessed him. From the way he (Dr. Mensah Otabil) started his congregation, God has gradually blessed him. He communicates with God and again helping build a better youth for this country. However, the NPP MP advised that, tarnishing the image of the man of God (Dr. Mensah Otabil) will not unriddle the problem and cautioned the public to desist from fallacious statements that will bring a persons reputation to disrepute. The responsibility of the political players especially the two parties in the election petition (the NDC and NPP) must find a way to solve this tension circulating in the public. Excess talking will not help solve issues. We must be calm and praise the petitioners, respondents and the judges stressed.
