Award winning rapper Okyeame Kwame on Wednesday led a delegation made up of doctors, philanthropists and journalists to call on Minister of Health, Madam Sherry Ayitey to notify her about his free Hepatitis B screening initiative. July 28 is World Hepatitis Day. Four years ago in 2009 as Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, Okyeame Kwame began a journey to help educate and curb the Hepatitis B virus. As a Health Minister, Madam Sherry Ayitey was well abreast with the dangers of Hepatitis B. She lauded the rapper for his initiative and promised the delegation of the government�s support during and after the screening. Madam Ayitey added that, next year government will take much more active part in the entire process.
